A wave of new sexual abuse allegations made my 20 Congolese women against aid workers engaged in response to Ebola crisis in Congo confronts the humanitarian sector. The claims come as donors pressure aid groups to do more to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse while giving assistance to the world’s most vulnerable. Also, the joint investigations in the sector conducted last year, are supposed to have contributed to encouraging women to report situation of abuse committed by aid workers, and to claim their right for protection and restauration.
